GLong Ltd had spent fifteen years building a reputation across Wellington for the kind of painting and plastering work that ends up in architecture magazines — Venetian finishes, heritage restorations, exterior schemes on homes worth defending. Their old website did not say any of that. It read like a generic tradesperson directory listing, which made every quote conversation start with the wrong frame: price first, craft second.

We rebuilt the site as an editorial portfolio that treats each project the way a gallery treats a piece of work. The visual direction leans on serif headlines, high-contrast layouts, and full-bleed photography so the finished surfaces speak before any copy does. A clear service taxonomy separates interior, exterior, heritage, and decorative finishes, each with its own brief explaining the process and what makes it different. The contact path is short and the booking experience matches the rest of the brand — measured, considered, no aggressive hooks.

Since launch the team reports a noticeable shift in how prospective clients arrive. Enquiries now reference specific projects from the portfolio and arrive with a budget framing that matches the work, rather than expecting commodity pricing. The site has become a sales tool the team can send ahead of a site visit, doing most of the qualifying before the first conversation.
