Ric Lounge
Salon website and local SEO for a Riccarton hair, nail and spa lounge — number one on Google for "riccarton nails".
Ric Lounge is a small team of senior stylists and nail technicians on Riccarton Road, a few minutes from Westfield Riccarton, with more than a decade of craft behind them and a room designed to feel like an exhale. Their previous website did not match any of that. It was a template with a generic service list, no sense of the space, and a booking path buried behind a contact form. In a suburb with a nail salon on every corner, the site was neither winning the walk-in-from-Google customer nor doing justice to the salon for the people who had already heard about it.
We rebuilt the site around the feeling of being there: full-bleed photography of the lounge itself, a warm neutral palette, and copy that promises calm rather than shouting about deals. Each service, from hair and colour to nails, head spa, lashes and brows, and waxing, has its own page with a full price list, so a client can check a gel manicure or a women’s cut before they book. Booking is one tap from every page, the contact page carries the address, hours and a click-to-call number, and a gifting page turns vouchers into a proper product. The gallery and testimonials do the persuading that a price list cannot.
Because the salon lives or dies on local search, the build was done for Google as much as for clients: location-led titles for Riccarton and Christchurch, structured data for the business, its services and opening hours, every old URL redirected so nothing earned by the previous site was lost, and a fast static build that passes Core Web Vitals. The result shows in the rankings. Ric Lounge is number one on Google for “riccarton nails” and in the top three for “nails riccarton”, “nail salon riccarton” and “riccarton mall nails”, the searches that bring people through the door, with the hair and waxing pages climbing behind them.
